MARINE CARGO SURVEYORS

Cargo and freight are subject to a variety of risk before and during carriage. Marine surveyors play an important role in providing unbiased and independent reporting to stakeholders regarding the cause, origin, and extent of a loss. Our experience of over 18 years as cargo damage survey experts includes a large variety of cargo and freight. Our experience also naturally lends itself to loss control surveys of both cargo and facilities. We pride ourselves on first-hand reporting instead of sub-contracting your interests to others.

FORENSIC BULK CARGO LOSS SURVEYORS

Bulk cargo such as steel coils shown (at left) transferred within a charter vessel hold can be subject to a variety of complex concerns that begin at the time of manufacture and packing. Understanding the afflictions that steel and other bulk cargoes are subject to before, during, and after transit are paramount to a surveyor's skill-set. Merely showing up to take photographs and copy tag numbers is insufficient. A thorough understanding of how to properly collect and retain samples for an appropriate analysis is also very important. We have on-hand experience with several types of bulk cargo (including food products and machinery) at several of the nation's inland river, rail, and ocean ports.
PROJECT CARGO SURVEYORS

Project cargo requires flexibility, experience, and careful consideration of many factors. Taking the time to fully appreciate variables and properly plan for a safe attendance is paramount to a successful survey.

An experienced surveyor plays a role in the first line of defense against transit related incidents. Our experience with project cargo includes dock/quay side with heavy lift vessels and inland transfer on several types of conveyances including rail, truck, and barge. At right is an example of an inland transfer between two different types of trailers for proper weight distrubution over the road.
